Bintan is an island, located 2 hours by ferry from Singapore, and, although it’s larger than Batam, it’s less populated. This is the island perfect for an inexpensive mini-getaway from Singapore.

Visa For Indonesia:
Visa on arrival is easy and simple. If you upgrade to emerald class on the ferry, which I highly suggest, then they’ll do it all on the boat for you. $15USD up to 7 days, $35 up to 30 days. Be sure to read up on the Visa Requirements for your nationality prior to going.
Where To Stay In Bintan:
There are SO many resorts to choose from on the island. I’ve highlighted a few, based on budget.
Bintan Lagoon Resort:
Bintan Lagoonwas our choice because it’s totally budget friendly , but still a 4-star accommodation. This place is HUGE, has descent rooms, a nice beach, and an ENORMOUS pool. There is also quite a few good restaurants located within the resort. There is a spa, golf excursions and lots of family activities. $79USD/night
Banyan Tree:

We’d totally stay at Banyan Tree Hotel if we were to return to the island. Banyan Tree is known for it’s great service and the accommodation and amenities are superb. $270USD/night
What To Eat In Bintan:
All resorts have multiple restaurants, with endless varieties both in/out of your room. You don’t even need to leave the premises, which makes it that much easier/better.
Things To Note:
If you’re up early in the morning, do catch the sunrises, they’re gorgeous…the sunsets are beautiful as well!
Relax and enjoy your getaway!
