I often get asked on Instagram how we take all our photos wherever we travel and I’m so excited to finally share with you! Initially, when we first started traveling, Josh used his GoPros and I only used my iPhone. Then we’d both need to go back home, load them on our computer and edit them, which was time consuming and tedious. Enter my most recent discovery…the holy grail… the Ultralight 8-in-1 HD Bomgogo Govision L6 Combo kit!

How to Take the BEST Photos, Without a Fancy, Expensive Camera

The kit itself comes with a 125-degree Wide Angle Lens, 20X Macro Lens, UV Protector, CPL Filter, ND8 Filter, 6-point Star Filter, Flower Lens Hood, Set-up Adapter Ring (17mm to 37mm), a Universal Clip, Lens Cap, Hand Strap, Cleaning Cloth and durable Storage Case.

There are SO many things I love about this lens kit, I could write forever. But the most important highlights are the following:

They Take Amazing Photos

This is the MOST important and most obvious. I wouldn’t have written this post if I didn’t stand behind these lenses 100%. I honestly love each lens for different reasons, it’s hard to choose a favorite!

Wide Angle Lens:

The Wide Angle Lens really provides SO much more in your photos. As a landscape lover, I never feel like I can truly capture a lot of the landscape that I’m looking at in the small lens of my iPhone camera, unless I use a panoramic shot (which doesn’t exactly work with Instagram). That’s where the Wide Angle Lens comes in! Look at the difference of what’s included in the second photo (with the Wide Angle Lens) versus the first one (without the Wide Angle Lens) from my rooftop pool! I will seriously never use just my iPhone ever again after having used this Bomgogo Wide Angle Lens.

AFTER with the Wide Angle Lens-look how much more I can fit in one shot!

Macro Lens:

The Macro Lens has an amazing zoom, especially if you’re trying to get up close photos of flowers or other still objects. When I tried to get even remotely close to this lemon on my iPhone, the entire photo became super blurry. As soon as I put the Macro Lens on, I think I saw every single detail in the lemon like I’ve never seen before!

CPL Filter

The CPL filter is awesome for reducing glare or reflection, like if you’re taking a pic through a window on a bus or at the top of a lookout point with a glass barrier. It’s also awesome for color saturation, and you all know I love my landscape colors!

ND8 Filter

All over Instagram I was so jealous that these DSLR’s were capturing these in-motion city lights and I thought I had to buy a really expensive camera to take shots like this myself. Thanks to the ND8 filter, I no longer need to spend all that extra cash on a DSLR because I can capture object movement myself! You can use this filter to capture running water, traffic, streams or sunsets. The lens blurs movement and literally brings each shot to life! Sadly, Miami’s traffic is at a stand still all the time (the joys of big city living), so I wasn’t able to capture the moving vehicles, but I LOVED how the ND8 filter softened and highlighted the city.

Star Filter

I fell in love with the star filter for sunsets. It’s really unique how it adds a sparkling 6-point star from a direct or reflected light source. I’ll never watch another sunset without this lens!

The Lenses are Small and Portable

This case literally weighs next to nothing, approximately 0.30lb (0.14kg) with my luggage weigher. I absolutely LOVE that its so light weight because as a fellow traveler, I’m sure you know that it’s all about weight (we only have SO much space and weight permitted on trips, ya know). The case is super tiny and can fit in the palm of my hand, and comes with a carabiner (clip), so I can hook it on my backpack or purse when I’m on-the-go!

The Lenses are Easy to Use

For an amateur photographer, I thought I’d be intimated by the lenses and their usage, but they were super easy to use and well explained in the mini-instruction manual provided. Each lens screws off and on with ease and it’s literally mindless and lightening fast to clip the lens on your phone.

As you can see, these lenses are TOTALLY AWESOME! I’m grateful for finding Bomgogo and can’t wait to use the Govision L6 Combo kit throughout all our future travels (stay tuned for Mexico soon)! If only I had this lens kit sooner when we traveled Europe and Asia!
